Lent is just around the corner, literally and the conversation of what everyone is giving up begins again.

If I am completely honest I genuinely start with good intentions but before I know it the crisps and chocolate bars make their way back into the cupboards.

This year I have decided I am going to give instead of giving up.  Do you fancy joining me with this little challenge?  Of course, you can give up the sweets n treats if you so wish but this can just be a little something extra.

So what kinda things can we do over the next 40days that will make us feel good and others feel better?

  • More generous with our time, have more patience and compassion.
  • Do a random act of kindness every day.
  • Give extra compliments each day.
  • Smile at a stranger and say hello.
  • Give someone a helping hand.

There are so many different ways in which you can give, these are just a few examples – you can use them or make out your own list but what I can guarantee you is this – when lent is over the feelings you will have from giving just even a little bit will by far outweigh the feelings of giving up your favourite flavour of crisps.
